Our elegant adaptation of the red beauty of Christmas is realist yet artisitc in its presentation. The poinsettia's petals are brought to life by the use of different colors of red, and by embroidered yellow French knots for the flower centers. The motif is set against a beige background of pieced 4" squares, and is bordered by a small inner accent strip and a 3" outer border. Instructions include hand/machine methods of applique suitable for early intermediate to advanced quilters. Hanging tabs are optional on this V-shaped banner, which measures approximately 19" x 31".
