The folkart birds quite naturally have checkerboard wings to complement the checkerboard sashing & borders of this quilt, measuring 50" x 47". Using paper foundation piecing, the finished bird blocks are 10" x 15". Sashing and border areas are formed with strip pieced sections. Button eyes finish the birds. Designed by Janet Miller
